Optimized for most popular HB LEDs and COB LEDs, SIO3 Silicone Lenses are free form lenses, engineered by implementing new optical techniques and manufactured by using the cold injection-moulding process. The LEDs of latest generation – High Brightness LEDs and COB LEDs – achieve very high temperatures which could put strain on the conventional polymers such as PMMI, PMMA and PC. Silicone is high temperature resistant, from -40°C up to peaks of 200°C, very low yellowing, micro-crack resistant under harsh environmental conditions.
Thanks to the most cutting-edge engineering and the advanced technologies developed by Khatod R&D Team, the typical properties of Silicone have not only been totally transferred but even boosted in the realization process of the SIO3 Silicone Lenses. SIO3 Silicone Lenses, a totally new design by Khatod, are protected by Registered Patent in Italy and scheduled patent extensions.

For extreme applications, an optional aluminium ring holder enabling an even more robust fastening is available. Strong, heat resistant, cast aluminum, will not bend or warp. Great impact resistance.
SIO3 Silicone Lenses preserve and enhance the typical characteristics of silicone.
SIO3 hydrophobic property (immersion-proof) makes these lenses particularly fitting for damp and wet environments. Indoor pools are a typical application.
